Applying to college is more competitive than ever.

Families find themselves constantly on websites seeking a competitive edge for their children. Students jump through hoops that are anxiety-provoking and lead to burn out. Other services feed into this hyper-competition, leaving parents with a hefty bill, while students forgo precious time with family and friends during their high school years.

About the Founder

Hi, I’m Lani!

As a former Ivy League admissions officer, corporate technical recruiter, and nonprofit college advisor, I’ve spent years strategizing how to make access to higher education and post-graduate employment more equitable.

I grew up in California as a low-income, first-generation American from a single-parent household. My first educational community was created through the federally funded program, Upward Bound, which helped me navigate the college admissions process and find lifelong mentors and friends in the process.

I attended Williams College on a full-ride scholarship as a QuestBridge Scholar where I met my closest friends and mentors. Upon graduating, I became a Fulbright Scholar in Slovakia and taught high school students while working with local beekeepers.

From my time in admissions, high schools, and corporate college hiring, I’ve worked with students who come from every corner of the world and host a diverse range of interests from art, film, music, computer science, biology, and more.

My strength as a bridge builder allows me to connect deeply with students and help them collaborate together, no matter where they come from.

All of us are figuring out where we are going.

I am excited and honored to help you on that journey.
